YOUNGSTERS have been discovering that they have the power - with the help of Olympic high jumper Geoff Parsons.
The athlete spent a day at Le Cateau School, Catterick Garrison, helping the pupils explore all sorts of power.
The npower Power Day was won for the school by headteacher Grahame Shepherd when he visited an education show.
He beat teachers from across the UK in a test of reflexes - and won a day which comprised of workshops tailored to different power themes, including teamwork, renewable energy, health and fitness and the power of the mind.
The youngsters took part in hands-on activities, video presentations and team challenges with Geoff there to take them through the programme.
