CARERS in the Gateshead area are being invited to take part in a week of activities.
The events are aimed at all carers - those looking after a disabled child, an adult with physical or learning disabilities, mental health problems or someone who is old and frail.
The twice-daily events, which are free, have been organised by the Gateshead Carers Association and Gates-head Borough Council.
They will be held in Gates-head town centre, Ryton and Birtley between today to Friday.
Activities will include sessions on aromatherapy, massage, shiatsu, reflexology and various therapies, craft workshops, pampering sessions for men and women, health checks, information, advice and entertainment.
There will also be free food and refreshments for people who attend.
The sessions have been organised to mark National Carers Week.
The events lined-up are: Today, Barmoor United Reformed Church, Ryton, noon to 3pm, and 7pm to 9pm;
Wednesday, The Trinity Centre, High Street, Gates-head, 10am to 1.30pm, and 7pm to 9pm;
Friday, Birtley Leisure Centre, Durham Road, Birtley, 10am to 1.30pm, and 7pm to 9pm.
