TWO pre-school workers took to water to raise cash for a sick youngster.
Melanie Lush and Linda Walters, who work with Tumble Tots providing sessions to keep under fives occupied, covered 187 lengths in the swimming pool at Hambleton Leisure Centre, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
The pair were sponsored by parents at Tumble Tots groups in Northallerton, Thirsk, Richmond and Ripon.
The event raised £435 for the Rosie Henry trust fund.
Four-year-old Rosie, from Romanby, Northallerton, suffers from a rare degenerative disorder.
Her parents, Richard and Diane, are close to their target of raising £35,000 to build an extension at their home, and provide specialist equipment for their daughter.
Mrs Lush said: "Linda's son, James, is in Rosie's class at Romanby Primary School, and we felt that we would like to help Rosie in some way. We are delighted with the support we received."
