THREE North-East comics have made it to the regional final of the BBC New Comedy Awards in Glasgow tomorrow night.
Matthew Reed, Seymour Mace and Dan Nightingale, all from Newcastle, will be taking on Peter Liu and David Wilkie, both from Edinburgh, and Bee Dee (Brian Doran) from East Kilbride.
Geordie stand-up star Ross Noble will be compering the evening.
The winner will take part in televised showcases being held in London, which will be shown on BBC Choice.
The best will then be invited to the final at the Edinburgh Festival in August, to be shown on BBC Choice and BBC1. Judges this year include The Fast Show's Charlie Higson.
The overall winner will walk away with the BBC New Comedy Award Stand-Up title, receive £1,500 in prize money and also have the opportunity to work on BBC Choice. Two runners-up will each receive £750.
