A MOTHER-OF-TWO has become the fifth National Bingo Game winner this year at a North-East club.
The 34-year-old woman was playing at the Mecca Club, in Stockton, Teesside, when she won the jackpot of £57,090, plus a regional prize of £1,073 and club prize of £295, after completing a full house in 36 numbers.
The promotions company worker, who does not want to be named, has a nine-year-old daughter and a son aged 13. She and her partner, a designer, have recently bought a car which they plan to pay off.
She said: "We had already started doing up the kitchen in our house and thought we would have to save up before doing the rest. Now we can get the whole lot done.
"I usually play on a Sunday evening but changed my routine because there was a half-price evening on Saturday."
Graham Fucile, customer services manager at the Mecca Club, said he couldn't believe the run of luck members have had since the beginning of the year.
He said: "We must be one of the luckiest clubs in the country at the moment. We had more than 1,000 people in on Saturday night and they raised the roof when I announced the win. It gave me a big buzz and makes your hair stand on end."
The club's previous wins this year were on February 4 - £47,208, March 26 - £76,255, April 22 - £91,880 and May 3 - £105,069.
