A NORTH-EAST children's hospice is set to benefit from a new book containing secret barbecue recipes from Britain's favourite TV gardeners.
Called Alfresco Dining, it has been produced by Tarmac TopPave and sales of the book will help the gardeners' charity Greenfingers achieve its ambition of creating garden facilities at the Butterwick Children's Hospice, Stockton.
John Adkins, Greenfingers special projects manager, said: "These gardens are a vital part of children's hospices, providing children and their parents with a place for fun, therapy, education, relaxation and reflection, but we do rely heavily on money-raising initiatives like this to make dreams become reality.
"It is a bit like Groundforce when we move in and start work, so it is highly appropriate that the likes of Alan Titchmarsh, Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh have lent their support to the book."
Anyone wishing to buy a book is asked to send a cheque for £2, payable to Tarmac TopPave, and a stamped addressed A4 envelope to Tarmac TopPave/Greenfingers Recipe book, PO Box 215, Derby DE1 9HD.
