RESIDENTS of Limpton Gate and The Slayde, in Yarm, held a golden jubilee street party at Limpton Gate green on Saturday. Money raised from the event was given to Teesside Hospice.
Young and old took part in competitions, which included three-legged races for children and adults as well as egg and spoon races.
The highlight was the tug-of-war contests, with teams representing the two roads.
Limpton Gate won both the junior and senior pulls and the children beat the adults, but in each contest the winners had the advantage of the slope.
