A LOVEABLE German shepherd dog is looking for a new home.
Five-year-old Zeus was given up by his owners when they started a family and could no longer spare the time to take him for walks.
He has been taken in by the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, in Darlington, which is keen to rehome him. Zeus is good with children and other animals and would suit someone who has enough time to dedicate to him.
Pauline Wilson, at the league, said: "He would be ideal for someone who works part-time or does not work at all. Someone who has had dogs before and enjoys the outdoor life with lots of walks would be great. His owners were heartbroken to let him go, but the mum could not cope with small children and an energetic dog."
