TEN new jobs look likely to be created in Darlington after double glazing entrepreneurs received a £3,000 council grant.
Steve Holdsworth and Paul Pointon, directors of Direct Glass Supplies, have taken over the 1,000 square metre former Apex Cables building at Darlington's Yarm Road business park, with the help of the funding from Darlington Borough Council.
The company, which incorporates Direct Door Panels Ltd, manufactures sealed units for double glazed windows, as well as decorative stained glass and panels for doors.
The two companies, which employ 25 people, have traded for the past ten years in separate workshops at Henson Road on the business park.
Mr Pointon said: "Location on a single site makes management a lot easier."
