A BEER festival has become the first event to take advantage of a promotion.
Information on the Tynedale Beer Festival 2002, taking place tomorrow and Saturday, is linked to a central network through the Internet as part of Northumbria Tourist Board's destin-e destination management service.
The service gives companies and events the opportunity to increase their exposure to potential visitors through a number of facilities, from advertising to promoting special offers.
Details can be updated at any time, and information is delivered directly to the Hyperlink website www.visitnorthumbria.com, Northumbria Tourist Board's call desk and all the region's tourist information centres.
Beer festival organiser, Bernie Quinn, from Tynedale Lions Club, said: "Through destin-e, every organisation connected to tourism in the North-East has had access to the latest information on the Tynedale Beer Festival 2002."
For festival tickets call 0191-375 3051.
