THE final piece of a wildlife project is due to be installed.
During the past year, Stockton Borough Council has been working closely with people in Norton to redevelop marshland at Norton Grange.
Now an information panel designed and illustrated by local ornithologist and artist Ian Lawson is being installed.
The board explains how the marshland works and what plants and animals visitors can expect to see.
Drains and ditches have been cleared at the site to maintain the stability of the marshland and a path has improved access to the area, while dipping platforms give people a chance to get up close to the varied wildlife.
Great North Park ranger Colin Powles said: "The board marks the final piece of what has been a very successful project.
"People of all ages have helped us develop the area and I am sure the community, as well as the wildlife here at the marsh, will enjoy the area for years to come."
Youngsters who helped Mr Lawson will join Mr Powles in unveiling the information board at the marsh on Tuesday.
