David Thompson was the toast of Kirby Sigston as he scored a marvellous unbeaten 144 in his side's victory over Hutton Rudby.
When Kirby Sigston batted first they lost opening batsman J Thompson for one run before Lowther (59) was joined by David Thompson. He crashed no fewer than 11 sixes and 13 boundaries and his 144 not out came just 100 deliveries.
Replying Hutton Rudby were all out for 129 as Kevin Clarkson returned the outstanding figures of eight for 35 from 19 overs, eight of which were maidens. Alexander (44) and Wood (36) top performed with the bat for Hutton Rudby.
Broughton and Kirby won by six wickets in their home game with Thimbleby. Roger Briddock claimed seven wickets for 38 runs in 17 overs and Andrew Smith had three for 31 in his 16.4 overs spell as Thimbleby were dismissed for 72 in 33.4 overs. David Barningham top scored with 34 for the visitors.
Replying Broughton and Kirby reached their target in 22 overs and lost four wickets as Kevin Robinson carried his bat for 23. James Thompson took three of the four wickets to fall for 23 runs in nine overs.
Ingleby Greenhow are still bottom of the league after they were bowled out for 39 in their home game with Stafford Place for whom Tony Robson returned five for 23 in 13 overs and Brent Smith five for 15 from his 12.4 overs stint.
Stafford Place needed 15 overs and lost three wickets but they were never in danger as Martin Moore carried his bat for 31 which included five boundaries. Lee Curtis took two of the wickets for five runs in 2.4 overs.
Swainby had eight wickets to spare when they hosted Scruton who were back in the pavilion after 36.3 overs with 88 runs on the board, which included a top scoring 26 by Kerr.
James Dennis had a good day with the ball for Swainby as he picked up six wickets for 45 runs in 18 overs and Alan Clemmit, who also shared the attack with Dennis, ended with three for 37 in 18.3 overs spell.
Mark Kerr then led Swainby to victory in 21 overs when he ended unbeaten on 41 having hit four boundaries.
Chopgate just edged Maltby by four runs following a high scoring game. Batting first Chopgate finished with 168 for seven which included 55 by opening batsman Holmes and 30 from Lane. Covell, Barber and Stringer each took three wickets in the Maltby attack.
When they replied Maltby made a reasonable start through Francis but it was the late partnership between Hornsby (30) and French (57) which almost own the game. Maltby were only five runs short of victory when they were bowled out for 164. Cunningham was the top wicket taker for Chopgate with figures of four for 29 and he was assisted in the attack by Tait who claimed a couple of wickets while Stockton, Cook and Haltby all took one wickets.
East Harlsey overtook the Kildale total of 123 all out with seven wickets left. Mason opened the innings scoring 50 and Mackerall added 41. When they batted first Kildale were dismissed for 123 which included 25 by Peirson and a half-century from Sunley. Willey, who returned the outstanding analysis of six for 55 and Grainge with four for 46 shared the wickets in the East Harlsey attack
