STAFF at a McDonald's restaurant have given a helping hand to a pupils tidying up their school.
Workers from the chain's Darlington restaurant helped children and teachers at Ferryhill Station Primary School with a litter-pick yesterday. The group worked all afternoon picking up rubbish from the school grounds. McDonald's employee Nicola Pears said: "McDonald's nationally is encouraging staff to get involved in the community and we thought a litter-pick was a good way to help the pupils and their school.
