Members of staff from the Accident and Emergency department at the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton, will team up with Halfords to give demonstrations and advice on the correct use of cycle helmets to patients and members of the general public.
Their aim is to encourage correct usage to avoid head injuries. Hospital and Halfords staff will man an information stand. Halfords staff will be measuring people for correct fittings of helmets. The stand will be in place on Monday and Tuesday, from 10am to 4pm.

Summer fair: The parish of St Therese of Lisieux is holding its annual summer fair tomorrow at St Therese School, Lamb Lane, Ingleby Barwick, from 2pm to 5pm. There will be displays and other entertainment.
Literacy day: The University of Durham, Queen's Campus, Stockton, is to hold a trails a tales fun day as part of the Stockton maths and literacy fair. It takes place on Saturday, July 6, from 10am to 2pm. Events include puzzles and games.
Go yellow: Hartlepool and District Hospice is urging people to take part in 'Go Yellow' month and help raise funds for the hospice. They want people to wear sunflower badges which are being sold in various outlets for a minimum of a £1.
Community store: The Asda store in Thornaby has been chosen by Asda House as its Asda Store of the Community. The store was chosen because of the hard work and dedication of the staff in partnership with local residents associations and other community-based organisations. The store has been awarded an extra £500 to continue the good work.
New crossing: Works to construct a new crossing on the A1045 Thornaby Road, Thornaby, near Cunningham Drive, and a pedestrian refuge near the Harold Wilson Centre will begin on Monday and last for four weeks.
New flats: Mandale Commercial Limited has lodged a planning application with Hartlepool Borough Council to build eight flats on land at Commercial Street and Queen Street
Rugby success: Three members of Hartlepool Girls Rugby Team, Laura Meade, Jill Neville and Janine Aston, have been chosen for the North of England Under 16s Rugby Football Union Women's team.
