CLASSMATES Leigh-Ann Watkins and Abby Swainston landed top honours at an annual event for children across the region.
The two eight-year-olds were the pride of 1st Shildon St John's Baden-Powell Beaver Colony when they were presented with the movement's highest award.
The pair received their dam builder badges during the Northumbria Area Beaver Fun Day, which was held at Shildon County Primary School, Thornhill Gardens, yesterday.
Leigh-Ann and Abby, both pupils at Stephenson Way Primary School, had to gain four footprint badges, by camping, visiting police and fire stations, singing and doing handicrafts, to gain their awards.
Beavers leader Beverley Watkins said: "They both did extremely well and showed commitment to the group's activities to gain the award.
"Everyone at the colony is very proud of them. It was wonderful to be presented at the area fun day."
