CARERS looking after the needs of mental health patients in County Durham were given the chance to attend an information day organised by a support group.
As part of National Carers' Week, those who care for people suffering from mental disorders were invited to the Pierremont Unit at Darlington Memorial Hospital to meet fellow carers.
Pat Thompson, carer support worker for the group, said the event, which was organised with the support of County Durham and Darlington Priority Services NHS Trust, aimed to give carers a chance to find out more about the group and to make contact with other carers. The event featured a variety of information stands. The group can be contacted on (01325) 357533
