TOURIST centres on the North York Moors have long been established as popular venues for workshops on the colourful history and wildlife of the area.
But this weekend, visitors are being encouraged to take part in meditation, Tai Chi and reflexology, as part of a special Recharge Your Batteries initiative.
The demonstrations and workshops at the Moors Centre, at Danby, are aiming to emphasise the stress-busting potential of the tranquil landscape.
Spokesman Mike Pratt, said: "It is well known that open air and attractive countryside are good for the mental and physical health. It follows then that the national park provides strong medicine which we want to encourage everyone to tap into in all sorts of ways."
Events are taking place on Saturday and Sunday and further information is available from the national park authority on (01287) 660654
