SWIMMING and fitness instructor Caroline Morgan was put through her paces in an Army exercise for business people.
Caroline, 39, of Chester-le-Street, County Dur-ham, who works at Elswick Leisure Pool, in Newcastle, was among 100 people who took part in the Territorial Army's (TA) exercise Executive Stretch at Catterick, North Yorkshire.
She was in the eight-member red team which faced challenges including an assault course, and escaping under fire from the ruins and sewers of a mock village.
She said: "The worst bit of Executive Stretch was getting up at 6am, and the best bit was the abseiling.
"I had seen the others survive it so I wasn't scared. I was more nervous of getting wet and staying wet all day.''
The exercise was run by 150 (Yorkshire) Transport Regiment Royal Logistics Corp, which is based at Hull, North Shields, Leeds and Doncaster.
It was designed to give company bosses an insight into the TA and show them how it can benefit their businesses.
The best team overall was green 80s which included Darren Beach, of Vickers Defence Systems of Cramlington, North-umberland; Sarah Berry, of Boots the Chemist, Stockton, Teesside; and George Hutchinson, of The Expanded Metal Company, Hartlepool, Teesside.
Mr Hutchinson was the best male overall.
