Diana trip will boost charity: A trip is being organised to Althorpe, Northamptonshire, where the Princess of Wales is buried.
The visit includes two nights bed and breakfast and return coach travel, as well as trips to Oxford and Warwick. Tickets cost £146, and the trip takes place between July 26 and 28. Debt advice: A £75,000 grant from the Northern Rock Foundation has safeguarded the Sedgefield and District Citizens Advice Bureau. Last year almost half of the inquiries dealt with by CAB in the area were debt related and the numbers continue to rise.

Drama course: A one-week drama summer school for youngsters aged 13 to 16 is being held at Darlington's Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, from Monday to Friday, July 22 to 26. Veterans reunited: A reunion of the National Malaya and Borneo Veterans' Association takes place at the Eden Camp modern history theme museum, near Malton, North Yorkshire, on Saturday. Services and parades will be included in the day, which culminates with the unveiling of a plaque in the Eden Camp chapel of remembrance.
Charity barbie: A charity barbecue is being held at Harvey's Wine Bar, in Darlington, on World Cup final day, Sunday, June 30, from 1.30pm. There will be live music and all money raised will go to Trust Tees, a charity raising money for underprivileged children in the Tees Valley region. Byte-size success: IT and computing students from Stockton and Billingham College hope to impress local businesses during their end-of-year presentation. The college's faculty of technology and business will display their project workto an audience of business representatives at the Stockton site, in Oxbridge Avenue, tomorrow.
No winner: No one won the prize of a car during a promotion at Darlington's Cornmill Centre, last week. Shoppers were asked to guess a six-digit code to win the Peugeot 306, but no one managed to get more than four numbers right. The promotion was run in conjunction with Century Radio.
