A COFFEE morning at a Darlington church has raised more than £500 for a hospice.
The event at Northland Methodist Church was held as part of national Go Yellow month, which aims to raise thousands of pounds for hospices around the country.
Cakes and yellow food, including banana splits and lemon meringue pie, were on the menu at the church and the choir sang hits including Yellow Submarine and Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
A total of £531 was raised for St Teresa's Hospice, in Darlington.
Jane Bradshaw, hospice director, said: "This is a very important part of the hospice's fundraising calendar and we are delighted that Northland Methodist Church have given us their support."
The hospice is holding its third annual Go Yellow Day on Friday, June 28.
