Despite heavy rain storms and an undulating trail course, Quaker Wayne Bramley had an excellent run winning his first major race in a time of 36:57 with second home Jeff Prest from Trafford in 37:13.

Quaker Alex Snook had a storming victory in the 2K fun run. She was the first ever junior female to win the fun run in a time of 08:40, Nathan Nicholson finished second in 09:00.

The club came away with first male team prize on Saturday, June 8 at the Swaledale Marathon. Alasdair Tatham was second in 3 hours 20 mins, followed by Keith Wilson in 3:46, 14th, Keith Richardson 3:46, 16th and Barrie Kirtley 4:10, 30th.
On June 12, 11 members of the club travelled to Jarrow's Monkton stadium for the third of the North Eastern track and field league meetings.
Performance of the evening came from Lewis Moses who, competing in the Under-17 boys 3000 metres, recorded a new personal best time and in the process broke a two-year-old club record taking some five seconds off the previous record time.

On Sunday, May 26, three members travelled to Melmerby to take part in their 10K, Ian Scott finished 12th out of 238 finishers in 34:51, followed by Jeff Thurlbeck, 139th, 46:14 and Sue Thurlbeck, 181st, 50:02.
Julia Orr travelled to the City of Manchester Stadium on May 25 to compete in this year's North of England Athletics Association junior track and field championships. Julia had an outstanding run in the Under-17 Women's 3000m to finish in fourth place with a new personal best time of 10:40.64 and claimed a new club record in the process.
On May 22, the following evening saw six of those athletes back in action at the second North Eastern League track and field meeting held at Gateshead International Stadium.

On May 21, more personal best performances showed the continued improvement of members of the junior section at the second of the North Yorkshire and South Durham track and field meetings, which was held at Sunnydale Leisure Centre in Shildon.

Ian Scott was first vet Over-45 at Thirsk 10 Miler on Sunday, May 19 finishing 16th overall out of 411 finishers in a time of 58:47, followed by Nick Millar 43rd, 62:39.

Some of the club's young athletes were on school duty at the County Schools championships held at Monkton Stadium on Saturday, June 15, seven athletes qualified to represent the county in the inter-county championships held at the same venue next week.
Catherine Turner was second in the junior girls 100m in 13.6; Gemma Morgan was second in the inter-girls 300m in a time of 44.2; Gemma Brown won the inter-girls 300m in 42.6; Vicky Finn won the senior girls 400m in 60.8 county champion; John Burns was second in the junior boys 400m in 57.0; Ben Finn third in the inter-boys 800m in 2.06; David Judge second in the inter-boys shot putt with 13.32m; Anthony Brown won the junior boys javelin with 38.32m county champion; Natalie Owens second in the inter-girls 3000m in 11.19; Stephen Brown won the senior boys 800m in 2.13 county champion.
The following day seven senior athletes competed at the Newton Aycliffe 3M Centenary 10k. First back for the club was Victor Sayers 52nd in 41.38; first lady back was Ruth Cooper 67th in 42.67.

After being denied a county vest the previous day county schools champion Matthew Lomax let his surplus energy to by easily winning the fun run at the Aycliffe 3M Centenary races in 11.18.

The following Tuesday at the third meeting of the NYSD held at Eastbourne Sports Complex, Darlington, the club had nine runners and six winners in the 800m events, Matthew Lomax led the way in the Under-17 boys an easy winner in 2:07.7.
The very promising Abby Suffield won the Under-13 girls in 2:42.3 with club mate Natasha Heslop seventh in 2:57.7. Natalie Owens had an improved run to hold of the challenge of another Owens from Loftus AC to win in 2:27.0. In the U20 men Paul Best finished fifth in 2:09.3 and training mate Stephen Brown sixth in 2:12.9.
In the 200m events Chris Stappard held off the late challenge of club mate Adam Rogers in the U17 boys, Stappard's winning time was 25.8 and Rogers 26.2. Catherine Turner won the A race in the U15 girls in 29.2 with club mate Melanie Robinson winning the B race in 29.7.
