Top club Burnmoor meet basement side Durham City this afternoon.
The leaders are the only unbeaten side in the league and on current form should be too strong for a City side who have been dismissed for less than 100 in each of their last two matches.
Neil Young returns for Ben Embleton at Durham but pace bowler Des Beach is still absent injured.
Durham are likely to field an unchanged team. Marsden have yet to record their first win since entering the league, but captain John Dunn remains optimistic.
"We did enough to win last week but could not take the final wicket. Our confidence is sky-high and all we need is a little more self belief," says Dunn.
They make just one change for the visit of Whitburn. Owen Peterson is not available so Marsden bring in Tom Trewhitt. Whitburn, who have been idle for two Saturdays because rain washed out their games, have Paul Cook and Gary Ventress returning.
South Shields have a chance to move away from the lower part of the league when they visit Felling.
However, their inconsistent batting needs to be wary of Felling stalwart Chris Pleasants. In their two recorded wins to date, Pleasants instigated Felling's success with his wickets. He had 6-34 at South Hetton and 5-44 against Seaham Harbour and will pose his usual problems today.
Felling replace the unavailable Chris Parker and Peter Vinton with Mark Vinton and Simon Curtis. Shields make just one change with Saikat Sarkar in for David Craig. Boldon, who visit Hetton Lyons are strengthened by the return of Byron Longstaff and Chris Miller. Richard Potter and Chris Siddell make way and Grant Forster is still out.
Hetton Lyons hope to be at full strength. However, there are doubts about the fitness of Tom Nixon.
