A TOWN'S police chief has pledged bobbies on the beat will become a familiar sight again.
Harrogate district commander for North Yorkshire, Police Chief Inspector Les Potter, unveiled his plan to get more officers pounding streets as part of an attempt to calm the fear of crime.
Extra foot patrols are being launched as part of a three-year strategy and policing plan.
The police chief said additional patrols were a priority and they would make sure officers could get away from other work.
