WALKS, craft demonstrations, stone-walling workshops, mosaic-making, and abseiling are on next month's events programme in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Organisers are hoping to build on successful projects aimed at tempting tourists back to the countryside in the wake of foot-and-mouth.
National park spokesman, Karen Griffiths, said: "Visitor numbers are up already this summer with the public rediscovering all that is special about the area.
"Our walks programme has something to offer the serious rambler, the nature enthusiast or those who are looking for a gentle stroll with an experienced guide.
"The more adventurous can try their hand at abseiling and, if the weather disappoints, there are indoor craft demonstrations and workshops for the whole family."
