A NEWTON Aycliffe care centre's series of short guided health walks continues next month.
The 3.5 mile walk, covering half of the Great Aycliffe Way and including a picnic stop, takes place on Sunday, July 7, at 10.30am.
The walk starts and finishes at the Pioneering Care Centre, Cobbler's Hall. Walkers should bring food for the picnic and wear sturdy shoes.
The Pioneering Care Partnership's Walking Scheme has been organised in partnership with the Princess Royal Trust Carers Centre.
Two more walks take place on Tuesday, July 2, and Tuesday, July 16, at 10.30am, both starting and finishing at the Pioneering Care Centre.
Gill Macnab, events and participation worker, said: "Walking is common to all age groups. It helps improve your health and can help you meet new people while having fun."
To book a place on any of the walks for health, or for information on wheelchair accessibility, contact the Pioneering Care Centre on (01325) 321234
