POLICE are hoping to trace a Good Samaritan who stopped to help at the scene of an accident in which a motorcyclist died.
A man driving a blue Ford Escort, with two children in the back, assisted after the collision between a yellow Suzuki motorcycle and a blue Peugeot 406 car.
The accident happened on a remote stretch of the B6255 between Hawes and Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales at 7.30pm on Thursday .
Anyone in the Gayle Moor area at the time may be able to help officers investigating the accident, and police believe the Escort driver may have information about what happened.
Witnesses should contact PC John Frankland at Richmond Police Station by telephoning (01609) 789326.
Police had not released the name of the motorcyclist last night.
