GROWN-UPS who never lost the Meccano bug they caught as children held an exhibition in Beamish Museum at the weekend.
Hundreds of visitors, ranging from pensioners to children, turned up to view the intricate models created by the North-East Meccano Society.
Meccano, some of it dating from the early 1900s, was used to create models of historical vehicles, including trams, buses and agricultural vehicles.
The younger enthusiasts had the chance to view models of war robots from TV's Robot Wars series.
