A TOUCH of the exotic side of India came to Durham City at the weekend.
Visitors to the Oriental Museum, at Elvet Hill, witnessed an Indian state costumes parade, Indian art and enjoyed glimpses of Bollywood films as well as perusing Indian jewellery. They also had the chance to learn about the life of blind dancers in southern India and something about classical Indian music in a series of talks
"It was a packed programme," said a spokes-man for the museum. "There really was something for everyone."
