Darlington Ramblers' Assocation is hoping to attract more walkers for its summer season with a welcome walk for new members.
The six-mile walk, aimed at encouraging new members, will take in Aysgarth Falls in the Yorkshire Dales.
The association's summer season includes Sunday walks around Wensleydale, Sunderland Bridge, Goathland, Aycliffe, Redworth, and even across to the Lake District with a walk around Haweswater in October.
The assocation is also looking for walk leaders to enable it to arrange more walks.
The meeting point for all the walks is the health centre in Park Place, Darlington. Walkers are asked to make sure they are properly equipped, with waterproof clothing, boots and adequate food and drink.
The welcome walk meets at 11am on Sunday, July 7. For more information call (01325) 464334.
Anyone interested in becoming a walk leader is asked to contact Hubert Ord on (01325) 461730.
