IAN Watt from Matrix Internet Services was overwhelmed by the number of companies attending the Flipchart Roadshow.
The inspired networking exhibition was held within the new Coleman suite in Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield on June 12.
Web design company Matrix also chose the event to launch its new sister company in partnership with Hillprint, HPM Design.
Following the success of a previous Flipchart Roadshow, organised by Sedgefield Borough Business Forum on behalf of its members, this latest exhibition was designed to reach a wider audience.
More than 130 companies from across Sedgefield Borough, Durham City and Easington District attended the event.
The Flipchart Roadshow was aimed at encouraging inter-trading between businesses in the three areas. The event format involved exhibiting companies bringing their own flipchart easel and pad, on which to illustrate the products and services their company buys and sells.
Cabinet member for Regeneration at Sedgefield Borough Council, Bill Waters, said: "We are delighted with the large number of attendees at this event.
"It has provided companies with an inexpensive, yet effective way of promoting their business and a useful method of developing new business contacts, suppliers and customers."
The Roadshow ran from 3pm until 6pm, with exhibition space free to all businesses. Companies continued to network over drinks and canaps.
