MEMBERS of one of the oldest agricultural societies in the country took a day off from the land to meet the men who roam the skies.
A group from Boroughbridge Agricultural Society spent a day at RAF Leeming, near Bedale, where they were welcomed by station commander Group Captain Andy Walton. They were taken on a tour of XI(F) Fighter Squadron, where they each had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of one of the Tornado F3 fighter aircraft. The visit ended with a tour of the Air Traffic Control centre.
