SCORES of children proved that they were the sunniest on Teesside yesterday when they were transformed into a gigantic yellow sunflower chain.
The youngsters, from 12 local primary schools, have been selling chocolate sunflower sweets as part of a campaign to raise money for Teesside Hospice. Gathered at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium, each school formed a sunflower chain before Boro FC's mascot, Roary the Lion, presented a trophy to the school with the longest line.
