PARENTS went back to their youth to raise cash for improving special needs teaching at their local school.
They organised a fundraising night for Easingwold School, featuring the rock band Exploding Buddhas.
With food by Fillings, of Easingwold, and a bar provided by the Horseshoe pub, they raised a total of £882.
One of the organisers, parent Jackie Baren, said: "It was a great success and the band played brilliantly. Thank you to all who helped and all who came along."
Last year, the parents organised a similar night, also featuring the Exploding Buddhas, which raised money for the charity York Against Cancer.
