A TOTAL of 94 competitors took part in the seventh annual Great Aycliffe Show golf competition at the weekend.
The competition consisted of four categories, with three prizes in each.
The winner received the Great Aycliffe Town Council Trophy, and each of the top three won golf vouchers.

A reply on behalf of the guest competitors was made by the winner of the ladies' competition, Janice Lee, from Bishop Auckland Golf Club.
She praised Great Aycliffe Town Council for the way the competition was run and gave special thanks to the green staff for the condition of the course.

No limit - Jive Talk (owner Sue Burns); 36lb - Gypsy Queen (Steve Bell); 40lb - Go Loco (Trevor Armitage); yearling - Lucarnie (Betty Suttill); puppy - Indian Ink (Joe Winter); veteran - Blue Goblin (Gary Bailey). Dog final - Lex Go Crazy (Jeff Hunter). Bitch final - Tina Marina (Betty Suttill).
