A FUNDRAISING event this weekend should be a very colourful affair.
As part of St Teresa's Hospice's Go Yellow month, a tombola will be held in the Queen Street Shopping Centre, in Darlington, and every prize will have a yellow theme.
The tombola is being supported by Barclays Bank, which has agreed to match all the funds raised up to £750.
Organisers from the hospice are hoping to emulate the success of their last tombola, held during the Easter Bank Holiday, which raised more than £3,600.
All the funds raised during the Go Yellow tombola event will go towards St Teresa's running costs, which are currently in excess of £1,000 per day.
The Darlington-based charity supports people living with chronic or terminal illness, with the aim of helping patients and their carers.
The hospice relies on volunteers to help with day care, befriending the bereaved and sitting with patients at home to provide full-time carers with respite.
The tombola will be held in the shopping centre from 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
