A WOMAN from the North-East has fulfilled a lifetime ambition to set up her own fashion business and has become one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the region.
At 23, Jeannette Davies, from Sunderland, is one of the youngest business owners in the region.
She has launched Dusty's Daughter in Gateshead's MetroCentre, a women's fashion boutique, which will stock labels such as Jonny loves Rosie, Moda in Pelle and Kal Kaur Rai, which is a favourite of Victoria Beckham.
It is the second time that Jeannette has undertaken her own business venture.
In order to gain business experience, she ran a fish and chip shop in Southwick, Sunderland, before making the transition into the world of fashion.
She said: "The success of Dusty's Daughter looks like being far greater than I could have ever imagined and is testament to the fact that a little determination and ambition can go a long way.
"I have many brands which customers will not find anywhere else in the MetroCentre, or - in the case of Moda in Pelle - will not find anywhere further north than Leeds."
