SKATE PARK: Coun Julian said youngsters had been asking him about the progress of a skate park in Thirsk, because they had been thrown off the forecourt of Polar Ford on Station Road. Councillor Peter Bardon said the teenagers should be directed to Councillor Andy Robinson, who had promised to get them a skate park.

CONDUCT CODE: Two members of the council are yet to sign the register of members' interests as called for under the new code of conduct. The clerk said they would remain councillors up until July 1. She said if they still chose not to sign, they would have to step down from the council and new members would be sought.

TOWN HALL: A leaflet promoting the town hall has been drafted and photographs commissioned after the original publicity shots were misplaced. An initial printing run of 1,000 is anticipated.

NO POLICE: The council received a form from North Yorkshire Police asking for nominations for the community police officer of the year. Councillor David Murkett said he never saw police officers in the village so could not recommend one.
