URGENT APPEAL: Yarm district guides need help in finding a secure, safe and vermin- free place to store camping equipment.

SELL OUT: Tickets are sold out for the forthcoming Yarm School association summer ball. Next year the YSA will be organising a silver anniversary ball with the date and venue to be announced soon. Funds raised help buy extra items for the school. It recently received £2,500 towards the cost of a new PA system for the school theatre.
COLOUR OF WORDS: North Yorkshire calligraphers present the colour of words at Preston Hall Museum, Eaglescliffe, from July 1 to 31. Admission is £1.20 for adults and 60p for children and concessions. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.30pm, and on Sunday, 2pm to 4.30pm.
MUSICAL SUCCESS: The ladies section and Egglescliffe community association wish to thank everyone who attended the performance by the Melody Makers trio in aid of cystic fibrosis. The total sum raised was £85.
OVER-50S: Ingleby Barwick over-50's club meets every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm in the community hall, Haresfield Way.

NEW SCHOOL: Ingleby Barwick's £1.25m primary school will open its doors later this year and parents wanting to send their children there are being urged to get in touch. St Francis of Assisi voluntary aided Church of England primary school is jointly funded by the York diocese and Stockton LEA and is due to open on September 1. VICAR'S FAREWELL: In his final vicar's letter to the parishes of Kirklevington with Castlevington, High and Low Worsall and Picton, the Reverend David Moore thank-ed everyone who had contributed so generously to the leaving presents and those who had organised and supported the farewell lunches. He said he and his family had been happy in the village for 30 years and would miss everyone a great deal. He hoped his legacy would be the continued use of part of the vicarage garden as a recreation area.
MEMORIAL CASH: A sum of £784 has been given to St Martin's Church, Kirklevington in memory of churchwarden Simon Pilley.
FUNDS BOOST: House to house collections in Kirklevington for the Children's society raised £268 and boxes an additional £123.
BLOOMS: The Northumbria in Bloom judges will visit Maltby Village for summer judging on Tuesday, July 9.
