FLOWER DISPLAY: The Cestrian Flower Club is holding a flower demonstration, at 6.30pm, on Thursday, at the Park View Community Association, Chester-le-Street.
MUSIC DATE: Celebrate, an open air musical to mark the history of Chester-le-Street, is being staged at Lumley Castle by local performers and Pop Idol contestant Aaron Bayley on Saturday, July 6.
CHURCH FUNDS: A total of £175 was raised for Christ Church, Lumley, by a coffee morning and jumble sale.
FOLK CLUB: Liz Law and Terry Conway will be the guest stars of Birtley Folk Club, on Wednesday, in the RAOB Club, Fell Bank.
STRAWBERRY DAYS: A bring-and-buy sale, strawberry tea and cake stall will be held at 3pm tomorrow, at West Pelton Methodist Church.
ART DISPLAY: An exhibition of work by the Society of Disabled Artists will be on display from Monday, to Friday, July 12, in Chester-le-Street library.
CHURCH FAIR: A summer fair of St Andrew's Parish, Lamesley, will start at 2pm tomorrow, in the Church Hall.
SONGS OF NOTE: A concert in aid of the Chester-le-Street Methodist Church funds, featuring the Newcastle Male Voice Choir, will be held from 7pm tomorrow. Tickets are £3.
JAZZ NIGHT: Jazz in Birtley will be entertained by the Vieux Carre Jazzmen from 8pm to 11pm on Thursday at Birtley St Joseph's CMS Club and Parish Centre. Tickets are £2.
SUMMER FAIR: St John's Parish Church, Birtley, will hold a summer fair from 11am, tomorrow.
