Stafford Place enjoyed an eight wickets victory when they visited Scruton, who they dismissed in 39 overs for just 94 runs. Opener Steve Greensit top score with 23 recording three boundaries for Scruton, but most of the time the Stafford Place attack was in command. None did better than Mally Graves, who in 20 overs, five of which were maidens, returned figures of four for 44 and Steve Livingstone who in 14 overs claimed four wickets for only 24 runs.
Stafford Place needed just 23 overs reaching their target as Cec Simpson made 29 with one six and three fours and Mark Lawrence carried his bat for 37, finding the boundary line on five occasions. He formed an unbroken partnership for the third wicket with Dave Metcalfe who hit one six and three fours in 26 not out.
Kirby Sigston continue to lead the table and they defeated Chopgate by nine wickets. The visitors could only make 89 with included 25 by J Holme and 22 by Tait, while for Kirby Sigston, Clarkson had the excellent figures of five for 30. Opening batsman Thompson with 48 not out and Rayner (22no) then secured a nine wickets success for Kirby Sigston.
Crathorne are joint second with East Harlsey. Crathorne visited Maltby where they won by four wickets despite being required to score 142 runs batting second.
After Barber opened the Maltby innings scoring 24, the home side's total was enhanced by Francis with a contribution of 39 and at stumps 141 for nine was on the board. Bruce took five of the wickets for 57 runs and Marshall claimed two for 32.
Replying Crathorne were indebted to opener Mooney for his 62 while his partner Marshall contributed 27 leading their side to a four wickets success.
East Harlsey had eight wickets in hand when they overtook the formidable total of 178 for seven made by Broughton and Kirby.
Parkin scored 51 before being run out and the same fate befell Robertson after he had scored 30. Briddock scored 30 for the home team and for East Harlsey the wickets were shared by Willey and Grange.
When East Harlsey went into bat they pleased at the form of Hodgson who remained unbeaten on 77 and Hunter (73). The pair were involved in a century partnership for the second wicket and East Harlsey conceded just two wickets before celebrating their seventh win of the season.
Swainby had six wickets in hand of Hutton Rudby who they restricted to 103 for eight which included 34 by Wood. Clemmit claimed five wickets for 48 runs and Dennis three for 43 for Swainby who won losing four wickets as opening batsman Kerr set his side on the road with a top scoring 37. Three of the four wickets to fall were taken by Coombes for just 37 runs.
Ingleby Greenhow celebrated their first win of the season at the tenth attempt when they hosted Thimbleby and won by six wickets. Middlemass (44) and Cowton (31) top performed when Thimbleby posted 134 with Arthur Fawcett taking three for 36 in the Ingleby Greenhow attack.
Responding Martin Fawcett opening with 49 and Flintoff made 34. Although Ward claimed three wickets for 16 runs in the six-man Thimbleby attack, Ingleby Greenhow were the winners.
