NORTH-EAST Big Brother contestant Jonny Regan survived the latest eviction from the Channel 4 house last night.
Viewers had to choose between the 29-year-old firefighter from Trimdon, County Durham, and Sophie Pritchard, a 25-year-old recruitment consultant from Buckinghamshire.
She had been the subject of bitching sessions by the other housemates and earned three nominations last Tuesday.
Having patched things up with Jade and Tim, Sophie was desperate not to be shown the door.
Jonny, the other contender, received four nominations from the house but 85 per cent of viewers voted to give Sophie the boot.
As her name was called out, Sophie hugged Jonny and leapt up from the table to pack her belongings.
Sophie entered the house as a replacement for trainee barrister Sunita, who quit the show after a week.
Although she made a glamorous entrance, the new girl succeeded in winding the other housemates up.
Jade branded her "very false" and said she "creeps around people".
Sophie also made herself unpopular by concentrating all her affections on housemate Lee, and found herself with few friends after he was evicted.
On Thursday, she told Kate she was hoping the public would not vote her out. "I'm not ready to go at all," she said.
