AN annual triathlon is on course for another success.
Organisers are confident all 250 places on this year's North Yorkshire Police event, in Ripon, will be taken by the time competitors line up for the start at the city's racecourse on Saturday, July 13.
A group of three officers will make the trip from Holland to tackle the course, which includes a one-mile swim across the lake, a 25-mile bike ride, and a six-mile run.
However, the event is open to tri-athletes from all walks of life, and details of how to enter can be found on the website at nyptri.freeuk.co.uk
Marshals are also required for the event. Would-be volunteers can contact Sergeant Nic Clay on (01609) 783131.
