AN exhibition of art and ceramics, including giant fingers, fruit and vegetables, and a decorated mannequin, is on display in a theatre foyer.
The exhibition at Durham's Gala Theatre has been created from exam pieces by Durham Sixth Form Centre AS and A2-level students.
Arranged in categories, including animals, culture, identity, mythical and landscape, it includes ceramics and artwork in different media.
The work, which counts towards students' final exam grades, has already been marked by college lecturers and a moderator.
One of the art and ceramics AS-level students, Ruth Jamieson, 17, said: "It's great to see your work displayed like this.
"It makes you feel like you have got recognition for all your work and effort."
Head of ceramics Donna Grant, who organised the exhibition along with colleagues Ellen Beveridge and Karen Smith, said: "We normally put the work in the corridors at college, but this is a much more pleasant environment for the students' work to be displayed in."
The exhibition runs until Wednesday.
