TWO women were taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital following separate road accidents on the A19.
The first happened just after 11pm on Friday, on the northbound carriageway, near the Murton flyover, when a car overturned and a woman had to be cut from it by firefighters. In the second incident, just before 7am on Saturday, on the southbound carriageway, near Seaham, another woman also had to be cut from her saloon car following a collision.

MURDER CHALLENGE: Visitors to the Salaam Bombay Indian restaurant, in Newcastle, on Friday were invited to solve a murder mystery. Ten per cent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Action Against Hunger charity.
