Council chiefs have approved moves to sell a city's historic assembly rooms.
The Grade One-listed building, in Blake Street, York, was built 270 years ago and designed by Lord Burlington.
A condition of the sale, to the York Conservation Trust, will be that the the city council can use the ornate building for up to five days a year.
