POLICE investigating the death of a teenager are still anxious to speak to people who may have seen him after he left a Stockton nightclub in the early hours of Sunday, June 23.
The body of Christopher Shaw, was recovered from the River Tees last Friday.
A post-mortem examination revealed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
However, Inspector Eric Robinson is keen to trace his last movements and discover how he ended up in the river.
The 18-year-old, from Thistle Street, Stockton, had been out with a group of friends at the Zanzibar nightclub, in Stockton High Street, on Saturday, June 22.
A police operation at the weekend resulted in several people coming forward with information, including a witness who saw a person fitting Christopher's description, lying on the ground outside the Mecca Bingo Hall, at about 2am on Sunday, June 23.
Insp Robinson said: "We need to trace Christopher's movements and find out what he had done after coming out of the club. There are no apparent suspicious circumstances - it is just a mystery that needs to be solved."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on (01642) 326326.
