TEENAGER Paul Abbs, from Durham, has been awarded his Green Beret.
The 17-year-old completed 30 weeks' training to become a Royal Marine Commando.
The beret - the hallmark of commando troops - shows those who wear it have displayed qualities of cheerfulness under adversity, courage, determination, selflessness and high professional standards.
