PEOPLE living in Stockton are being given the opportunity to try a variety of water sports at a special subsidised rate.
Residents of Grangefield, Roseworth, Parkfield, Hardwick, Ragworth, Tilery, Mile House, Primrose Hill, Newtown and Portrack will have the chance to join in the water sports at a subsidised rate.
The rate starts at £1 for one day up to £5 for five days, depending on the length of the course.
The activities on offer include white-water rafting, canoeing, water polo, dragon boating, water skiing and sailing.
The offer is open to adults and children as individuals, to community groups and schools within the targeted areas.
It can also be taken up on the Summer Holiday Activities programme for children who are aged eight years and above.
The closing date for registration on the programme is Friday, July 19.
