TEDDY'S DAY: The Tanfield Railway will allow free travel to Teddy Bears and their young friends from 11am to 4.45pm on Sunday, July 14.
OFFICIAL OPENING: Derwentside Leisure Services will hold a series of events to mark the re-opening of Consett Park. They will be held from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday, July 13.

DUAL APPOINTMENT: The new director of finance and commissioning at both the Derwentside Primary Care Trust and the Durham and Chester-le-Street Primary Care Trust is John Anderson.
BRASS NIGHT: White River Brass, Lanchester Brass and the Consett Junior Band will take part in the Durham Brass Festival Concert, at 7.30pm, next Wednesday, at Stanley Civic Hall. Tickets are £5 (£4 concessions).
SUMMER FAIR: A summer fair will be held from 9.30am, on Saturday, at Stanley Masonic Hall, Scott Street.
