BUS passengers are promised more ways to travel around Bishop Auckland with a new service introduced by Go North East.
The 90A started on Sunday and links the town centre with Princes Street, Etherley Lane and the Woodhouse Close Estate.
The 89C service, which leaves Bishop Auckland bus station at 8.30am for Woodhouse Close, will be revised to call at Princes Street, Etherley Lane and Grove Road and will show the 90A number.
The return journey will be unchanged, continuing as 89C and stopping at Rose Hill at 8.45am, and Etherley Dene at 8.47am.
Service 104, from Newfield, Byers Green and Binchester to Bishop Auckland, will run three minutes earlier.
Andrew Nash, of Go North East, said: "These changes, brought in at the request of Durham County Council and in some situations with their assistance, are designed to provide an improved network of services for bus users in the local area."
